Helping B2B companies accelerate profitable growth

Meet Jo, the marketing director

I am a Marketing Director with over 20 years of experience helping B2B businesses bring more structure, clarity and commercial focus to their marketing.

I typically work with Managing Directors and leadership teams as a fractional Marketing Director, stepping in when the business has reached a point where growth ambitions have moved ahead of the marketing structure needed to support them. That might mean the internal team is stretched, activity feels fragmented, or marketing is no longer translating into a predictable pipeline. My role is to bring clarity, prioritisation and momentum, so marketing supports the way the business actually sells and grows.

Much of my experience is in engineering, electronics, manufacturing, energy, infrastructure and industrial technology. I am used to getting up to speed quickly, understanding the commercial realities of a business, and turning complexity into practical plans that teams can actually deliver.

My work covers marketing strategy, positioning, ICP definition, go-to-market planning and performance measurement. I stay close enough to the detail to keep progress moving, while making sure execution stays aligned to the bigger commercial picture. Where specialist support is needed, I bring that in carefully and only where it adds real value.

Alongside my own client portfolio, I also work through The Marketing Centre as a fractional Marketing Director, supporting mid-market B2B organisations at board level. That experience has further strengthened my focus on evidence, accountability, governance and outcomes.

I lead every engagement personally, so clients work directly with me throughout. They value my calm, structured approach, my commercial judgement and my ability to reduce the decision load for senior leadership. The result is marketing that feels purposeful, controlled and relevant to the business, rather than reactive, noisy or disconnected.

I am based in Wiltshire and work with clients across the UK and internationally, drawing on more than two decades of experience supporting global businesses remotely.
